Bev Clarke - Author

Born on the island of Barbados, the author immigrated to Canada in the late sixties and after a short stint in banking, she joined the country’s main airline in 1973 as a stewardess. During this time she spent a year in Italy studying Italian and a few years later, a year in India. After eighteen years, she gave up this position and moved to Germany where she lived for thirteen years, working with another airline as a ground agent. While in Germany, she travelled throughout Southeast Asia, Africa, Australia and New Zealand and of course the rest of Europe.
In 2001 she returned to Canada where she returned to banking and devoted her spare time to writing.
In 2009 she self-published her first book, ‘Born in the Briar Patch,’ followed by the sequel ‘Born in the Briar Patch 2.’ In 2010 she published ‘The Second Heartbeat’ and in 2011 ‘Just One Handful of Snow.’ Later that year, she wrote ‘Black Pearls,’ a novel set in Africa.
The author now calls Ontario, Canada home.
